Maryknoll Sisters Commit Their Lives to Love

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Sisters from Peru, East Timor, South Korea and the Philippines make final vows

Four young women began their mission journeys in four different countries of the world. They had never met each other before they gathered at Maryknoll, N.Y., but the same Spirit moved each one with the strong desire to reach out in love to the poor and forgotten of this world. They responded to this call by making initial temporary vows of poverty, chastity and obedience as members of the Congregation of Maryknoll Sisters of St. Dominic. Now, having lived this vocation and served in mission overseas, the four recently made this their lifetime commitment with permanent vows.
